Kingswood College, Kandy, established in 1891, stands as a pillar of Sri Lankan education. Founded by Louis Edmund Blaze with a mere eleven students, it began on Pavilion Street as a boys’ high school. The fledgling institution faced initial challenges, relying on Blaze’s determination and fees to stay afloat. However, it persevered and earned government grants upon establishing a strong foundation.
